Algae Alert

April 5, 2011

An invasive algae has shown up in the Farmington River downstream of Riverton. Didymo (also know as “rock snot”) covers the river bottom  and smothers small plants and insects.  To prevent the spread of didymo, be sure to clean your fishing and boating equipment.  More information at www.ctflyfish.org
